Woodland Walks There is a network of footpaths and bridleways on the farm which connect to a larger regional network of public footpaths to explore. Paths pass through open farmland where wildlife changes with the seasons.Habitats are managed here which benefit ground nesting birds such as Skylarks . Migratory Geese can be seen in the Winter while into Spring there are Lapwings in display. The Summer brings visitors such as Swallows and in Autumn there are coveys of Partridge flying low over the stubble. The woodland abounds in songbirds in Summer and is also home to butterflies and other insects. Many species of wildflower grow along the way from early Spring to late Autumn. These include Orchids and Primroses.Taking a walk to the higher slopes of the farm on a clear day allows distant views of the Liverpool skyline and the Welsh mountains. |
